Here are some facts about the 1970 Dodge Charger:

Engine

The 1970 Charger came with a standard 426 cubic inch (cid) engine with a two-barrel fuel system.

The Street HEMI engine option had 425 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 490 lbs-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The Charger also had a 440 Six Pack engine option.

Transmission

The 1970 Charger had a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter or a Torqueflite automatic transmission.

Performance

The 1970 Charger R/T Hemi could go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and had a top speed of 155 mph.

Interior

The 1970 Charger had new high-back bucket seats, an ignition moved from the dash to the steering column, and a pistol grip shifter.

The base model came with a vinyl bench seat, but buckets were a popular option.

Exterior

The 1970 Charger had a shaker hood, electric headlight covers, and a big chrome loop bumper. It also had broad horizontal tail lights and horizontal grille trim.
