History

and Facts

Here are some facts about the 1994 Toyota pickup:

  • 4WD

Toyota surprised its competitors by offering a four-wheel drive in its compact truck line, along with a two-speed transfer case that had a low-range crawl ratio. This move changed the small truck market, forcing other manufacturers to follow suit. Pickup, Van & 4WD magazine named the 4x4 Toyota truck "4x4 of the Year" after extensive competitive testing.

  • Curb weight

The curb weight of a 1994 Toyota Xtra Cab DX Pickup with a 3.0 liter V6 engine is 2,970 pounds, while the Xtra Cab SR5 Pickup with the same engine weighs 3,120 pounds.

  • Transmission

The base model 1994 Toyota pickup has a 5-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive.

  • Engine

Some 1994 Toyota pickups are equipped with a 22R engine, which is an iron block four-cylinder engine that Toyota has been producing since 1981.

  • Value

According to Edmunds, the value of a 1994 Toyota pickup ranges from $2,134 to $9,025.

STATUS: COMPLETED

Sick beat bro

Mechanically it was not happy. Wire connectors were impeded by heavily aged Dielectric grease causing resistance to the connections for the coil packs. This Gunk had to be cleansed out of these connectors.

Check each spark plug and clear out the fuel coating the plugs. The excess fuel is due to the misfiring of the engine's cylinders, causing the ECU to overcompensate by sending more fuel.

This requires a cleanse and an oil change.

Next afterwards is to check the tune settings and recalibrate it until it sounds less like dubstep and more like a happy LS.
