Towing and payload

The Defender XMR can tow up to 2,000 lbs (907.2 kg) and has a payload capacity of 1,500 lbs (680 kg). It also has a large cargo box that can hold up to 1,000 lbs (454 kg), or 600 lbs (272.2 kg) in California.

Fuel

The Defender XMR has a 10.6 gal (40 L) fuel tank and is known for its good fuel efficiency.

Driving modes

The Defender XMR has three driving modes: eco, normal, and work. Eco mode limits power and saves fuel, the normal mode has no speed or torque limitations, and the work mode adjusts for towing and payload.

Differential

The Defender XMR has a front differential with smart lock technology that provides positive traction when driving slowly in deep holes. It also has a 4x4 pulley lock and two smart lock modes for mud riding and trail driving.

Suspension

The Defender XMR has an arched A-arm suspension to help keep riders comfortable while driving over pits.

Engine

The Defender XMR has a 976 cc V-Twin engine with a 4-stroke and fuel injection.

Brakes

The Defender XMR has dual hydraulic disc brakes in the front and rear.

Tires

The Defender XMR comes with ITP Cryptid tires, 30 x 9-14 in the front and 30 x 11-14 in the rear.
